Heading to preschool

Few days back, we took our son to a preschool. It has a play area and many toys to play with. There were lot of kids playing around. Siddharth appeared little anxious and didnt seem to know what to do. He just stood unmoving. Then we had a brief chat with the teacher and returned home. We decided its time for him to go to school to play, learn and socialize with other kids, though I was little hesitant to send him as I thought its too early for all this. And we finally decided to get admission for him.

First day at school -
His mom took to the school on the first day, he was a bit apprehensive and didnt want to get near to any other kids. His mom was there for a while and when she was about to leave him, he broke and starting crying. The teacher was good enough to handle him. Though the school duration is for 3 hours, the teacher asked to receive him after one and half hours, for few days just to get hang of new place.
Its been few days now, he still cries when we go to drop to school :-)

Light to the Blind and God to orphans - Gavaigalu

Pandit Puttaraj Gavaigalu - He was light to the blind and God to the orphans.

Music, Writer, Social Service, Theater, Literature - are his identity. A legend who always believed serving to the less privileged is devotion to the God.
My tribute to the legend, his thoughts and deeds will never die. A true example of "work is worship".

Avatar of Lord Krishna

A sudden plan in the evening, on the day of Krishnastami, was to make junior dress up like Lord Krishna. Thought would go the professional photographer. We rushed to the nearby market to get flute, crown, peacock feathers... and rushed to the studio as we were running out of time, as it was nearing the closure time.
As usual, junior struck nice poses to the camera. Here are few of those.
And thanks to the photographer too for his good work!

Turned One!

My son recently turned one, indeed, difficult to believe. Exactly, last year he was so small, and now he has become big little boy. In this incredible year for us, as we have seen first of many steps that he is taking in life. The first smile, first cry, first giggle, first walk and many more. There are so many things about our first year of parenthood, treasured within.
All of us were really excited about his first birthday. This party was very well planned and very well supported by my brother. We celebrated this occasion in my native place, Hospet. We did lot of shopping for this occasion. We went to KR market here in Bangalore to get all the party special - balloons, streamers, colorful ribbons and many other decorative items.
On this day, rudrabhisheka was performed and in the evening we had get together. I was really amazed to see around two hundred guests, part of this celebration. The kids which were part of this celebration enjoyed as they did get many things like cakes, chocolates, toys and some goodies to take back home.

Truly, a day to cherish in my life.

Being father for the first time

Nine months long wait is over and my junior has arrived. I was scared, nervous and excited of my junior's arrival, and this was running in my mind through out, for past few months. It was a amazing experience.
Recent advancement in medicine provides dozens of tests. And as and when these test results were positive, the rush of feeling that pounded through my entire being - my baby is doing good and growing.
Finally, my junior day came. when it came out of operation theatre, seeing my little one, it's nothing short of amazing!, truly memorable moment

Mahishasura Statue means Mysore

Every place we have seen has its own identification in our mind. One such place I wanted recall is Mahishasura Statue in Mysore. Every time I see this statue, it reminds me of my previous visits to Mysore. I am sure whoever visits Chamundi hills in Mysore, would definitely take a snap in front of this statue. And so, even me too, when I recently visited Mysore!!!
During my childhood days, I remember visiting few of my relative places which are in remote villages in Karnataka. In most of the houses in those villages, I could see photos of Mahishasura which is properly framed and placed on main door. For them it is like proof for having visited Mysore. Even now if we go to villages, we would see people hanging this photo in their houses. This statue would certainly make a mark in mind, for those who have seen this statue.
